Port St. Lucie is one of the fastest-growing cities in Florida and a very large share of the county's housing was built after the 2002 statewide code adoption. Those homes are already code-compliant, typically with builder-grade shutters or accordion panels rather than impact glazing. So the job here is usually not bringing a house up to code — it is removing the annual ritual of putting shutters up, plus the noise reduction and UV protection that come with laminated glass. That is a different sales conversation and a different scope than an eastern Broward retrofit.
